Getting started with PackVerity

A safe sequence from installation to your first verified ledger entry.

1. Check the requirements

PackVerity 1.0.1 requires WordPress 6.5+, WooCommerce 8.2+ and PHP 8.1+. HPOS is supported.

2. Install and activate

  1. Back up your store first.
  2. Upload the PackVerity ZIP via Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Activate PackVerity.
  4. Open WooCommerce → PackVerity and activate your Professional license.

3. Configure product packaging

Record packaging grams for Paper/cardboard, Plastic, Glass, Aluminium, Ferrous metal, Wood and Other at product or variation level. Add an evidence source and reference where available.

4. Create a shipping profile

Create packaging such as Box S, Box M or Mailer and select a default. Shipping packaging is frozen per order so later profile changes do not rewrite history.

5. Use the calculator first

Before live processing, verify that product packaging × quantity + shipping profile produces the expected result. The calculator does not write to the ledger.

6. Process one test order

Create one representative WooCommerce order and move it to a relevant status. Compare the dashboard, material totals and audit trail against your manual expectation.

7. Backfill only after validation

If you want historical coverage, first review the master-data preflight, then run a bounded historical backfill. PackVerity processes this through WooCommerce Action Scheduler.

Recommended: after your first test, export both the audit CSV and summary CSV and keep them as a reference for your internal process.

Scope

PackVerity supports administration and traceability. It does not automatically determine your legal producer role or filing obligations and does not submit statutory declarations.
