Getting started with PackVerity Free

From WordPress.org installation to your first WooCommerce packaging record.

1. Check the requirements

PackVerity Free 1.0.0 requires WordPress 6.5+, WooCommerce 8.2+ and PHP 8.1+. HPOS is supported.

2. Install from WordPress.org

  1. Back up your store or use a staging environment for the first test.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and search for PackVerity, or use the WordPress.org plugin page.
  3. Install and activate PackVerity.
  4. No PackVerity account or licence key is required for the Free edition.

3. Add packaging to a few products

Start small. Enter grams by material for two or three representative products or variations. Add an optional source/reference such as a supplier specification or weighing record.

4. Create one shipping profile

Create a box or mailer profile and set it as default, or select the appropriate profile on the test order. The selected shipping packaging is stored with the order.

5. Process one test order

Create a representative WooCommerce order and move it to one of the statuses configured for PackVerity. Check the order packaging record and compare the dashboard material totals with your manual calculation.

6. Test the report dimensions

Filter by year and destination country, check the material totals and export the summary CSV. Confirm that the output matches what you expect before using it in a wider workflow.

Recommended: do not fill the entire catalogue first. Validate two or three products, one shipping profile and one order, then expand.

PackVerity records packaging data. It does not determine producer status, validate legal classifications, submit filings or guarantee compliance.
