PackVerity is a WooCommerce plugin for stores that need a repeatable record of how much packaging material was associated with each order. It is not a shipping-weight plugin and it is not a legal filing service. Its job is narrower: turn product packaging, variation packaging and shipping packaging into structured order-level records that can be summarized later.
What PackVerity Free does
The free WordPress.org edition covers the core workflow from master data to reporting. You enter packaging weights in grams, PackVerity combines them with order quantities and the selected shipping profile, and the result is stored for the order. The dashboard can then aggregate that stored data by year, destination country and material.
Paper/cardboard, plastic, glass, aluminium, ferrous metal, wood and other.
Use different packaging data where size, format or pack configuration changes by variation.
Create boxes, mailers or other shipping packaging and select the profile used for the order.
The packaging calculation is stored with the order instead of being reconstructed from today’s settings.
Why the order record matters
A report calculated only from current product settings can change when packaging master data changes. That is convenient for a live estimate but weak for explaining a historical figure. PackVerity stores an order-level packaging record so the reporting dataset follows the order that actually generated it.
This distinction becomes important when a shop changes cartons, a supplier reduces plastic, a product variation changes pack format, or the team needs to explain why a period total differs from the current catalogue setup.

What Professional adds
PackVerity Professional is distributed separately. It is intended for teams that need deeper historical and audit workflows: detailed append-only audit views and audit CSV, historical product-version browsing, historical backfill, documented manual adjustments and manual order resync. The free plugin does not contain locked Professional code and does not require a licence server to function.
Data stays in the WooCommerce environment
PackVerity Free does not require a PackVerity account, does not send telemetry to PackVerity and does not depend on an external PackVerity service. That makes the data flow simple to explain: the store enters packaging master data, WooCommerce produces orders, and PackVerity stores and summarizes the packaging records locally.
Important scope: PackVerity can support an EPR, PPWR or packaging-reporting workflow with structured source data. It does not decide whether a company has a legal obligation, validate legal classifications, submit filings or guarantee compliance.
Who it is for
PackVerity is most useful when a WooCommerce store needs packaging figures that are more defensible than a one-off spreadsheet reconstruction. Typical users include store operators, finance or operations teams, sustainability teams, accountants who need source totals, and WooCommerce agencies implementing packaging-data workflows for clients.
Start with one test order
- Install PackVerity Free from WordPress.org.
- Add packaging grams to one product or variation.
- Create a shipping packaging profile such as “Box M”.
- Place a WooCommerce test order.
- Inspect the stored packaging record and dashboard totals.
That test is usually enough to see whether the data model matches the way your store packs orders.
